Award Recipient

Matthew Thogersen, P.E., is an Associate at D&B Engineers and Architects with over 11 years of experience designing and managing critical sewer and wastewater projects across the NY metro area. A University at Buffalo graduate, Matt has shown equal dedication to ASCE, serving as President of both the Long Island Branch Younger Member Committee and the Branch itself. As a strong mentor and leader—especially during the challenges of COVID—he has contributed greatly to events, outreach, and operations, from Engineers Week and Habitat for Humanity to the Annual Report and Awards Dinner. His project work spans from Atlantic City to Suffolk County, and he earned his P.E. license in 2022.
