Paul Dietlin, P.E.
Long Island Rail Road
Paul Dietlin, P.E., is the Senior Vice President of Operations for the Long Island Rail Road, overseeing daily operations and major capital initiatives. He played a key leadership role in the $2 billion Third Track Project, serving as Chief Engineer during its construction in 2020. Previously, he led the Maintenance of Way Group, managing engineering contracts, RFPs, and bids while advancing station improvements and long-term capital planning efforts. An active member of ASCE since 1987, Paul has made significant contributions to transportation infrastructure and the engineering profession.
