Jay Meegoda, PhD, P.E.
New Jersey Institute of Technology

Dr. Meegoda is the Program Director of the Geotechnical Group and a Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, with more than 45 years of experience as an educator, researcher, and consultant. His research focuses on geo-environmental engineering, sustainable waste management, and resilient infrastructure, and he holds patents for innovative technologies to remediate PFAS-contaminated water and soils. As principal investigator, he has led more than $12 million in multidisciplinary research projects and has published over 400 papers with nearly 7,700 citations. An internationally recognized leader in his field, Dr. Meegoda serves on numerous editorial boards, has received multiple prestigious awards, and continues to advance engineering education and global collaboration.
